Solid sets

The solid sets operation is simple: the plot is divided into a grid at the start of the campaign using 0.50 pipes. The pipes are made of aluminium or polyethylene depending on use. The most common layouts are 18 x 24 or 18 x 18 in windy zones. Each position has a sprinkler, with 23 sprinklers per hectare.
For semi-solid sets, the lateral moves are fixed and put in place at the start of the irrigation season. The rods and the sprinklers are moved in rows or groups. The valve T
provides a perfect seal when the rod is removed.
For solid sets, the lateral moves and rods are in place throughout the irrigation season. The lines operate alternately, controlled by small valves at the end of each lateral move.

Solid set is a particularly simple and effective surface irrigation system. Using fixed spray irrigation, the water is projected into the air and falls gradually to the soil, spraying a circle around the sprinkler. While less suited for fragile crops, full cover remains the most commonly used surface irrigation system and is much more effective than traditional gravity irrigation.

For solid sets, the lateral moves and rods are in place throughout the irrigation season. The lines operate alternately, controlled by small valves at the end of each lateral move.

IRRIFRANCE full cover provides low hourly rainfall to prevent the soil from becoming compacted, erosion and run-off. You are then choosing high quality irrigation on all types of soil.

Whether your farming surface is large or small and regardless of its shape (triangular, square, rectangular), solid sets divides your plot into a grid thanks to the sprinkler positioning. The most common layouts are 18 x 24 or 18 x 18 in windy zones. Each position has a sprinkler, with 23 sprinklers per hectare.

Solid sets are ideally suited to semi-automatic (change of position at night, for example) or automatic (line by line or block by block) operating solutions.

The lateral moves are started up and shut down in series every 6 to 8 hours to provide an average of 20 to 25.

Assets
Accessories
  • Low hourly rainfall enabling high quality irrigation on all types of soil.
  • Suited to all surfaces and all types of plot.
  • Economical thanks to its low usage pressure.
  • Reliable system thanks to light, simple and tried and tested equipment.
  • Simplified spraying organisation thanks to the position length and their constant time (6 to 10 hours).
  • Avoids dose errors.
  • System where distributed is least affected by the wind.
  • Compatibility of aluminium and polyethylene solid sets parts.
  • The sprinkler: robust, it provides a single jet for better wind resistance and more regular rainfall at very low usage pressures.
  • The rod: 50cm or 220cm long removable sprinkler support, made from extruded aluminium. The rod is pushed in (or pulled out) immediately into the valve T. It is locked in place by a ring.
  • The valve T: made of die-cast aluminium, it enables positions to be changed without shutting down the group. A special valve crimped inside the T provides the seal when the rod is removed.
  • The base plate: the 400 or 800mm base plate keeps the whole assembly stable.
