Technical Certificate: Black Medium Density Polyethylene Compound for PE80 Pressure Pipes

All IRRIFRANCE PE coils are manufactured at our Paulhan facility.

IRRIFRANCE polyethylene coils are made exclusively from a polyethylene compound, material classification MRS 8.0 (PE80). This is a high-performance, black, hexene-based compound designed for drinking water and gas pipe applications.

Key characteristics include:

Superior resistance to slow crack growth, ensuring safe and long-term network operation.
Optimal balance between flexibility and mechanical strength, facilitating pipe coiling, handling, and installation.
Optimized formulation of additives and finely dispersed carbon black, offering exceptional long-term service stability. (Designation ISO 1872-PE, E/M-ACGHL, 40-T012).
Excellent extrudability.
High flexibility and adaptability.

Applications

PE 80 or PE 100 is recommended for pressurized piping systems in accordance with the following European and DIN standards:
– NF EN 12324-2: Specifications for polyethylene tubes for irrigation reels.
– DIN 8074: Polyethylene pipes (PE 80, PE 100) : Dimensions.
– DIN 8075: Polyethylene pipes (PE 80, PE 100) : Quality requirements, testing.

Storage space

– The storage area must be free of any stones or objects that could damage the pipe.
– Do not store coils at a height greater than 2 meters to prevent permanent deformation of the pipe.
– Store away from heat sources.

Safety

The product is not classified as hazardous.

Recycling

The product is suitable for recycling using modern shredding and cleaning methods.
